I'll be out of town beginning 12 October. I won't return until after fall break starts.
JRN374: Be sure to attend class on 10 October. That'll be a "nuts 'n bolts" day. We'll discuss upcoming assignments so that you'll be able to spend your time out of class wisely.
JRN378 and MED 581: 10 October is mid term exam day. We'll be discussing your exam next week in class.
I'll be back in class this week. I'll give you the gory details about my faculty senate service today.
I'll be making a few syllabus changes--mostly moving two of the article deadlines back a bit. More details in class.
Well, I thought I'd be finished with the current Senate project (we're revamping the faculty handbook). Unfortunately, I must attend today's meeting. So I've devised another in-class exercise so that class can keep moving forward in my absence.

To MED581 and JRN378 students: Nothing changes for you.
As I said yesterday, I won't be in class today. But you will still meet and complete an exercise in teams of two (the best three teams win a cheesy prize).
If you haven't done so already, be sure to read Keith Olbermann's commentary about the recent speech by Donald Rumsfeld.
I have to attend another Faculty Senate meeting--this one's really important. I'll be able to bag the rest that conflict with class.

I was not chosen for jury duty (may have had something to do with the tu-tu and swim fins). So classes will meet on Thursday as usual.
