		<description>I suppose that could be a dangerous situation, especially if you believe the masses are ever on the edge of turning toward unthinking obedience. 

It could be that people are already halfway convinced of something, and only need certain reassurances that their leaders are not acting for light, trivial, or venal reasons, and that they need reassurance that their leader is not going to give half measures to a serious job.</description>

I was reading about how the Bush administration felt the press understood the need for them to keep secrets that might save men&#039;s lives.  I certainly agree with that, but for Bush to be happy they must consider the press to be completely tamed.</description>
