: Strategic locution deployment…

Asked if it were too late to enter the campaign for president, Wesley Clark said:

“I’ve got recon out there. I’ve got some heavy artillery that can come in. I’ve got good logistics, and I’ve got strategic mobility.”

Hoo-ya! It is, after all, a campaign.

What was it MacArthur said? “Old soldiers never die…” or something to that effect. :^)

The Poliblogger explains why it’s too late for Clark to join the race and win - the primary process. http://www.poliblogger.com/poliblog/mt-tb.cgi/1536

I wonder. If Mayer is correct, all he has to do is lead the polls by January. With name recognition still low campaign-wide, I think it’s a toss up among 4 and Clark would make 5.

He also has paranoia and showed little skill at intelligence analysis and evaluating the battlefield for CNN during the Iraq invasion. But I guess that doesn’t really matter in a presidential race, come to think of it.

Hoo-ya indeed! Mars is bright in the sky and the campaign marches past the Labor Day milestone.

Fineman paints Clark’s words with skill, but I think he yearns for a Dean/Clark ticket. Fineman loosens his objectivity at Chris Matthew’s table when asked about how the Bush Administration was “surprised” at the level of resistance in Iraq:

“[I]f they were reading the comments, for example, of retired General Wes Clark, or even Howard Dean, they wouldn’t have been suprised.”

Dr. Dean and Wes, a dream ticket for the media?
