Rhetorica: Press-Politics Journal

April 1, 2003

Rhetorica update…

What’s happening on The Rhetorica Network…I’m still working on the online rhetoric textbook. With luck, and a little more work, I should be activating it in two weeks. It will incorporate some of the Critical Meter and much new information.

Updates to Presidential Campaign Rhetoric 2004 have been slow in coming recently largely because of time constraints. My goal is to catch up with all of the Democrats by the end of April, plus I will be adding one or two third-party candidates. I will continue analyzing President Bush’s major addresses.

If you scroll down to the “first” entry today, you’ll see something called “Around the blogosphere.” I just dreamed that up a few minutes ago. What I want to do is create an entry that’s simply links to interesting postings on other blogs sans commentary. I may not do this every day. And when I do it, I’ll set the time code so that it appears as the first post of the day.

Questions? Comments?

Is it OK for us non-bloggers to add items we find interesting in the comments section, even if we are link-impaired?

    Please do.

Maybe I should active links and html for the comments. What do you think?

And, following from that, I’m toying with the idea of opening Rhetorica up to multiple authors who want to comment on press-politics issues on a semi-regular basis, i.e. longer items posted a couple of times per month. Any thoughts on that?
