Newseum Opens in D.C.
I was in Washington D.C. a couple of weeks ago--just in time for the cherry blossoms but a little too early for the 11 April opening of the Newseum.
The Newseum isn't new. It's simply bigger and sitting in a new location--a prime bit of real estate just off the national mall near the Capitol. Opening day drew more than 10,000 visitors.
Romenesko has a round-up of reactions. Jon Friedman offered a bit of pre-reaction the week before it opened. I like the idea of having a "Do As I Say, Not As I Do" wing. Wonder what the chances are of that happening :-)
I'm going to save my reaction until I see the thing. I hope to do so this year.
