Legion of loquacious lunatics…
Must one be crazy to be a successful blogger? Hmmmm…I suppose that depends upon how one defines “success.”
The Rhetorica Network offers analysis and commentary about the rhetoric, propaganda, and spin of journalism and politics, including analysis of presidential speeches and election campaigns. This site features the Rhetorica: Press-Politics Journal web log, comprehensive news media links, a rhetoric textbook, a primer of critical techniques, and information for citizens. The character of Rhetorica represents the purposes and canons of classical rhetoric. --Andrew R. Cline, Ph.D.

An hour a day? Criminy, I wouldn’t mind that.
This makes me curious now. How many hours a day do you spend on Rhetorica? From here, it looks really easy!;-)
I’d say I put in at least two hours a day on this site. Average might be three hours. I consider all the surfing for material part of that time. I’ve had days in which I’ve spent six or more hours.
What else could I be doing with my time? Hmmm…when I’m blogging, I’m writing. That’s a good think. And I’m thinking. I’m turning a recent series of posts into an academic essay. That’s productive.
I’ve done a couple of radio shows recently, plus Channel One (the school TV thingy) is interviewing me later this fall for a segment on media bias.
I’ve met lots of interesting people and made many productive contacts. Many people use my work in their classes and on their web sites.
So, to me, this site is more than hobby. It’s become part of what I do. As you will all soon see, I’ll be working on Park radio and integrating my sites, my classes, and my forays into the public sphere.
Geez…I outta be spending more time doing this!
It appears you have an ambitious agenda planned - GO! DOC! GO!
