Case study of blogging and the press...

The situation with Sen. Trent Lott provides me with an excellent opportunity for a case study of the mainstream press following the lead of the blogosphere--including excellent examples of enterprise reporting by bloggers. With the end of the semester, I now have plenty of time for a project. So, I'm asking for your help. I want to document the earliest blog mentions of Lott's comments from the Thurmond birthday party. Please pass along any mentions you saw from the less well-known blogs.

Also, if you're a blogger who's been covering this and would like to comment, please contact me by clicking here or sending e-mail to acline-at-rhetorica-dot-net.
