We few, we happy few…

Every war, even a popular one, needs to be sold to someone. The American public, our allies, and fence sitters, need to be convinced that military action against Iraq is the right thing to do. A lack of support will lead to defeat. I believe Vietnam taught us that. Apparently, the Bush administration has hired an advertising executive to sell a war with Iraq to the Arabs. You’ll recall that Kuwait hired Hill & Knowlton to sell the Gulf War to Americans. Their sales tactic: fabricating Iraqi atrocities. I think it’s a good idea for citizens to be wary whenever advertising people get involved in policy–especially poilcy that involvs war.
